Automation Technician

A well-established and growing manufacturer is seeking an Automation Technician to join its team in St. Francis, WI. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated production equipment, including robotic systems, packaging machinery, and integrated control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Program and maintain PLC systems and HMI interfaces.
- Troubleshoot and repair robotic systems and end-of-arm tooling.
- Maintain and calibrate sensors, motors, and control systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Assist in training personnel on the operation, maintenance, and setup of production machinery.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate repair records (CMMS).
- Respond to emergency breakdown situations as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or journeyman status in Electronic Technology - Automation, Electromechanical Maintenance Technology, Industrial Machine Repair, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMI systems, and industrial controls.
- Experience with robotic systems and programming.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
