ODA Primary Health Care, Inc. is a Medical Clinic with Multiple locations in Brooklyn, NY and Seasonal locations in Monticello, NY and Woodridge, NY. We are professional, fast-paced and demanding.
We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant to work with the primary care team at our Seasonal (Summer) Locations. The ideal candidate should have some experience in a health care setting and/or Medical student; and working with patients of various ages. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, caring and professional and will take initiative to ask questions and request assistance when necessary.
Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional staff in the delivery of various areas of health care.
The Medical Assistant is responsible for the preparation of patients for, and assistance during, the examination by the provider.
- Responsible for the accurate recording of vital signs and phlebotomy
- Prepares the examination rooms. restocks supplies as needed, and checks to confirm equipment functionality
- Participates in patient education as directed by physician. Be committed to the concept of continuity of care and under physician’s direction, have the skills and compassion necessary to educate and inform patients and their families of relevant care information
- As assigned, generates reports, including but not limited to patient hospitalization rosters.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
