As a Quality Lead, you will ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and optimization of inventory management and warehouse operations within our EWR1 facility. You will oversee inventory control processes, lead replenishment activities, manage bin zones, and ensure compliance with quality standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to lead a team toward operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:Inventory Replenishment and Zone Management:
- Oversee inventory replenishment to pickable zones (PICK-A, PICK-B) to ensure sufficient stock levels for daily outbound demand.
- Configure and maintain bin zones (PICK-A, PICK-B, REPLENS, NON-PK, CHILLED, BULK) to optimize warehouse operations and ensure efficient picking processes.
- Define and update building zones to align with warehouse layout and operational needs.
- Ensure fast-moving items are stored in PICK-A zones and slow-moving items in PICK-B zones.
- Monitor and maintain REPLENS (soft non-pickable) and NON-PK (hard non-pickable) zones to ensure proper inventory flow and storage.
Replenishment Operations:
- Utilize the Replenishment Dashboard to direct and monitor replenishment activities.
- Replenish inventory based on demand forecasts and replenishment quantities, ensuring sufficient stock levels in pickable zones.
- Conduct replenishment activities pre- or post-picking hours to avoid disruptions in warehouse operations.
- Use Bin Putaway functionality to transact inventory movements accurately.
- Escalate discrepancies or issues in replenishment requests to the appropriate quality resource for resolution.
Replenishment Maintenance:
- Update bin records in NetSuite to ensure accurate zone assignments and inventory tracking.
- Perform mass updates of bin configurations as needed, coordinating with the Operations Excellence (OE) team for CSV uploads.
- Address inventory discrepancies through normal inventory adjustment operations.
- Escalate issues related to order lines and demand forecasting to the appropriate stakeholders for further review.
Warehouse Stock Counts:
- Lead and oversee daily stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with monthly wall-to-wall count goals.
- Ensure stock counts are conducted during designated time windows with no bin activity to maintain count accuracy.
- Approve stock counts promptly to prevent discrepancies caused by bin activity.
- Investigate and resolve variances greater than 5 units through physical recounts and root cause analysis.
- Train and certify counters to ensure accurate and reliable stock counts.
Process Optimization and Training:
- Continuously evaluate and improve replenishment and stock count processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Train and mentor team members on replenishment operations, bin zone management, and stock count procedures.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for inventory management.
Reporting and Communication:
- Generate and analyze reports on replenishment activities, stock counts, inventory accuracy, and Inbound and outbound order supervision.
- Communicate findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions to warehouse and supply chain teams.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on inventory health, process improvements, and operational performance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc.).
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and platforms (e.g., NetSuite, RF-SMART).
- Highly self-motivated with a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to read, write, understand & speak English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Familiarity with warehouse monitoring systems and RF-SMART.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices and quality assurance processes.
