POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager (KM) to oversee the daily kitchen operations of our high-volume restaurant and brewery, located in the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood. As KM, you will work with the kitchen team to curate the menu and lead seasonal offerings, while also overseeing daily operations- kitchen staff/scheduling and ensuring the highest quality of service and cuisine to our guests. This position includes monitoring inventory, ordering, food preparation & safety. Additionally, managing COGS and menu pricing to achieve profitability goals is essential to the success of this position. This position reports to the General Manager and works closely with the GM and Director of Taproom Operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Team Development/Management

Ensures proper performance management of co-workers

Accountable to be present and available during the restaurant hours, including nights, weekends and special events

Creates and supports a cohesive team through thoughtful selection and hiring processes, consistent coaching and training, and engaging in effective communication

Lead training program for new back of house employees

Cultivates a collaborative environment within the kitchen team
Leadership Engagement

Work closely with Brewer and General Manager on coordination of beer releases & menu pairings

Foster relationships with community partners, neighbors and vendors

Provide and engage in strategic planning

Continuously looking for ways to improve processes and profitability
Enhanced Guest Experience

Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness & maintenance of the kitchen

Provide event logistics: review opportunities and menu creation

Work with the General Manager to investigate and resolve complaints/ guest feedback concerning food quality
Product and Menu Development

Oversee menu development with team input

Responsible for sourcing ingredients that align with our quality standards

Daily Operations

Manages and completes administrative work to include reconciliation, invoicing, COGS, menu pricing and other accounting-type duties

Maintains the existence of accurate pricing and inventory

Ensure food quality; manage facility kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and all products received

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
-
Must be at least 21 years of age
-
3 years of experience managing a kitchen in a high-volume restaurant
-
3 years proven managerial experience
-
Demonstrated success in building, developing, and leading teams

Excellent communication skills
-
Understanding of Google Suite, POS systems, Microsoft Office, and other administrative tasks

Passion for service and providing positive guest experiences

ServSafe Manager Certified
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work long hours on your feet

Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and move up to 160 lbs

Ability to work in a hot, wet, and loud environment

Ability to crouch, bend, lift, climb stairs, and reach.

COMPENSATION
Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Odell’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.
Salary Range:
$60,000 – $66,000/yr depending on experience
