Purchasing Assistant/ IT Technician:
This position will be responsible for assisting both the purchasing Department Leader and the IT Department Leader with day-to-day tasks as well as projects dependent on department needs.

Requirements:PURCHASING ASSISTANT:
- Coordinate procurement activities, including researching suppliers, obtaining quotes, and placing orders for medical equipment, supplies, and general inventory.
- Track and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is maintained for daily hospital operations.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and supplier information.
- Collaborate with Department Leaders to forecast and plan purchasing needs.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards in procurement activities.
IT TECHNICIAN:
- Provide first-level technical support for hospital staff, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and other IT equipment.
- Manage and troubleshoot the hospital’s local area network (LAN), Wi-Fi, and telecommunication systems.
- Collaborate with external IT vendors for specialized support or advanced technical issues.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment and ensure proper functioning.
- Assist in planning and implementing IT upgrades and infrastructure projects.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
Skills
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, IT support, or a related field.
- Strong computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, procurement software, and IT troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hospital systems, (EMR/HER) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a rural healthcare setting.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dual-role position.
- Capability of lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
