Qualifications
- Previous experience in designing, deploying, and managing recommendation or predictive models in production
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD a plus)
- 3 years of industry experience in software engineering, data science, or solutions architecture roles
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Enthusiasm for solving complex problems, unblocking issues for customers, and embracing a “wear many hats” startup environment
- Solid understanding of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms
- Thrives in fast-paced, small-team settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Master our platform’s features and capabilities to become a subject matter expert
- Design and iterate on recommendation and discovery models for our customers’ use cases
- Rapidly analyze data and identify performance optimization opportunities
- Experiment with state-of-the-art pretrained models (image, language, audio, video) to enhance discovery and personalization
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with customers’ technical teams and leadership to ensure successful, long-term partnerships
- Deliver technical demos to highlight our platform’s capabilities
- Proactively communicate project timelines, updates, and next steps to internal teams and customers
