Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating cranes and other heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials. Must have wireline & coil experience. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, as well as experience with various types of equipment including bulldozers, concrete mixers, and loaders. The Crane Operator will play a crucial role in the success of our projects by maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
Duties
- Operate cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes and other machinery to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate lifting operations effectively.
- Maintain clear communication with ground crew using hand signals or radio communication during lifting operations.
- Perform routine maintenance on cranes and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols while operating equipment.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks or trailers using various machinery such as loaders or water trucks.
- Participate in site preparation activities, including digging and grading as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Crane Operator or similar role in a construction environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, concrete mixers, bulldozers, and loader operation.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is a must.
- Must be CCO certified
- Ability to operate various types of heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods, lifting heavy loads, and working in various weather conditions.
