What are the responsibilities and job description for the OA/CTS Specialist position at Odle Management Group LLC?
Job Function: This position is a dual role between enrollment and placement. Responsible for conducting outreach and direct recruitment activities, interfacing with other outreach contractors and determining student qualification for enrollment in support of program compliance with government and management directives. Responsible for counseling students in all aspects of career transition, job search skills, job placement issues, job retention, and Career Transition Services and requirements. Responsible for securing placement data for students and identifying students who are no longer employed or in school and ensure reconnection with another placement, school or military within the service window. Demonstrates on-going commitment to preparing young people for the workforce by modeling, mentoring and monitoring excellence in the eight Career Success Standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conducts direct recruitment activities including speaking.
• Attends, exhibits and presents at designated events including neighborhood and county activities/fairs, job fairs.
• Develops and maintains linkages with referral sources such as colleges, school districts, human services agencies, youth organizations and conduct outreach activities.
• Interviews potential candidates to obtain information to support eligibility and complete applicant folders as well as students completing the program and determining transition needs.
• Follows-up on student progress including length of stay and separation.
• Maintains a caseload of active assignee files, establishing a tickler system for caseload management with bi-weekly to monthly follow-up through telephone and/or in person and documents all actions in CTS case notes.
• Maintains linkages with military services, One Stops and other external resources, maintains job banks, secures and posts job leads, sets up job interviews, arranges transportation assistance and other support services.
• Performs other students as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, two years of experience in sales, marketing or counseling-related field. Prefer Job Corps experience or four years’ experience working with youth. Valid State driver’s license in the state of employment with acceptable driving record.
