Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant - Full Time - St. Cloud, MN
Hours: Full Time, Flexible
Days: Monday through Fridays
Position Summary:
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will be responsible for providing outpatient occupational therapy services for Odom Rehab in an ethical and professional manner. Occupational Therapy services for Odom Rehab will be provided in accordance with each specific state guidelines.
The employee shall also perform (i) such other duties as are customarily performed by an employee in a similar position, and (ii) such other and unrelated services and duties as may be assigned to the employee from time to time by Odom Rehab.
Responsibilities:
Provide Occupational Therapy Services
1. Treat patients in accordance with state guidelines.
2. Follow appropriate POC (Plans of Care) for the patients outlining the path to achieve the patient’s goals; reassess periodically to keep goals relevant.
3. Collaborate with the overseeing OT regarding established POC.
4. Modify a discharge plan for patients once completing their occupational therapy.
5. Document patient’s treatment daily based on established and accepted practice guidelines.
6. Submit appropriate charges daily for occupational therapy services provided that date.
7. Communicate on a regular basis with the physician and medical staff regarding patients’ current status or change in status.
8. Assist in developing and updating Odom Rehab treatment protocols on an as needed basis.
9. Actively participate in Odom Rehab staff meetings
10. Track and complete Continuing Education Credits
