About ODRA
At ODRA Road Sweepers, we don’t just build sweepers—we engineer performance. As a growing manufacturer committed to quality, innovation, and reliability, ODRA is looking for a Mechanic to support both our production and R&D efforts at our Grand Forks facility.
This is more than just a service role. You'll be hands-on with everything from troubleshooting real-world issues to helping build the future of ODRA sweepers through prototype and special project work.
What You'll Do
Production & Innovation Wiz
- Contribute to initial builds as production expands from Winnipeg to Grand Forks.
- Assist with prototype builds, R&D configurations, and special customer requests (lighting options, automatic lube systems, etc.).
- Equip service trucks and support design adjustments for new model year chassis.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product performance and support the evolution of ODRA’s technology.
Other Hats You’ll Be Wearing
- Troubleshoot various systems for a broad network of dealers and end-users, when needed
- Use service records and electronic parts catalogs to identify and source parts efficiently.
- Manage warranty claims with a focus on clarity, fairness, and speed
What You Have Up Your Sleeve
- Certification as a Heavy-Duty Mechanical Technician or equivalent experience in vehicle upfitting or truck bodybuilding.
- Strong diagnostic skills and a passion for hands-on mechanical work.
- Experience with hydraulic systems
- Experience with electrical diagnostics (Low Voltage)
- Familiarity with Diesel engines and overall mechanical repair
- Experience with Farm equipment
- 3 years of experience in any of the previously mentioned areas is a plus
- Clear and professional communication skills. English required; Spanish is an asset.
- Self-driven, organized, and solutions-oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
