VOLUNTEER SUMMARY:
Guest Relations Volunteers will play a key role in impacting every guest’s experience while they visit OdySea Aquarium through assistance with guest ingress and egress, ticketing, wayfinding, Deep Ocean Theater and OdySea Voyager operations, and aiding with large groups and special events. This Volunteer role requires 8 hours per month for a minimum 3-month commitment in order to maintain active Volunteer status. Any necessary role specific Volunteer training occurs onsite at OdySea Aquarium.

Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with daily tasks including (but not limited to) greeting, guest engagement, wayfinding, ticketing, and upsell additional programming or activities.
- Proactively engage guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Uphold standards of excellence in guest experience.
- Follow all policies and procedures set forth by OdySea Aquarium or OdySea Aquarium Foundation including adherence to zoological grooming standards.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Satisfactory completion of a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to be flexible, learn, and multitask. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, team oriented, responsible, and enthusiastic.
- Must be comfortable greeting and engaging with guests with the possibility of speaking on microphone. Required to frequently talk and hear.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, as well as walk.
- No impairment of senses that might interfere with the ability to complete tasks.
- Must be able to take cues directly or indirectly.
- Ability to complete tasks in an environment that may be loud, wet, or humid at times.
