About Us:
STR Behavioral Health – Bucks County is a leading substance use and mental health disorder outpatient treatment center. We offer primary substance abuse and mental health programs, as well as dual diagnosis. Our programs include partial hospitalization treatment and intensive outpatient treatment (day and night programs) with supportive housing options. Both treatment programs are supported by a psychiatric provider, licensed clinicians, and experienced professionals. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options are offered at all care levels. Our programs are trauma-informed, individualized, and accredited by the Human Rights Campaign as a leader in providing LGBTQ services.
Position Summary
The clinician is responsible to ensure that excellent clinical care is provided to all clients. This position is responsible to design treatment and aftercare plans and supporting referrals. This position is required to also implement group therapy and clinical therapy for substance use and or mental health disorders. This position must also document all treatment activities and consistently consult with treatment team.
How You will Contribute
Position Responsibilities
- Providing one on one and group therapy session for adults with substance use and mental health disorders
- Developing and implementing client treatment Plans
- Developing and implementing Aftercare and discharge/
- Completing client Bio-psychosocial evaluations
- Attending and participating in regular Clinical Team meetings
- Completing case notes and other documentation relevant to treatment, aftercare and discharge
- Attending and participating in mandatory trainings
- Assisting with Intake/Admissions, referrals, Discharge and Admission of clients
- Asses and schedule client support needs outside the scope of STR
- Complete other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
What We're Seeking
Education and Experience
Position requires a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy or psychology. Must hold or be working toward Pennsylvania licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC). Position requires a minimum of one (1) year experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, preferably with clients with Mental Health diagnoses, including Thought Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Trauma History, Anxiety and Depression, strongly preferred.
Other Requirements
- Position requires incumbent to have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and acceptable driving record.
- Clear Background check, and any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.

- Care Planning and Intervention – develops and implements evidence-informed care plans that promote clinical excellence throughout the client-centered continuum of care. Care plans outline necessary steps, identified collaboratively with the care team, to achieve objectives identified in the biopsychosocial assessment. Leverage evidence-informed, clinically excellent treatment interventions.
- Advocacy – advocates for the needs and interest of clients and families to promotes clinical excellence through improved outcomes, access to care, and service delivery. Participates in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing client outcomes and strengthening clinical service delivery.
- Interdisciplinary and Interorganizational Collaboration – promotes cross functional collaboration among team members and referral partners to support and enhance clinical service delivery and support.
