About Us: Our outpatient programs provide clients with opportunities to expand independent living skills while increasing their responsibilities. Clients may admit directly to the outpatient programs or based on clinical need, may step down from intensive residential treatment. At Lifeskills Delray Beach: Outpatient, we offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP) as well as an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Clients can live in our transitional living community, Osceola House, while attending PHP and IOP.
How You Will Contribute/ Position Summary
Therapists are responsible for providing individual and group therapy sessions for clients in a specialized intensive outpatient treatment setting. Position is responsible for assessing the therapeutic needs of the individuals and families, and for developing appropriate treatment plans. Program Therapists act as the primary contact for clients and families throughout the treatment process and serve as a client advocate with the treatment team. Position acts as a liaison with referral sources, clinical partners, and internal resources to coordinate care throughout the treatment process.

Within the organization: Maintains frequent and close working relationships with clients, Management, Clinical Leadership, facility leadership, peers and vendors.
Outside the organization: May initiate and maintain working relationships with clinical providers, referral partners, families and vendors as needed and directed.

Position Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities
- Exemplifies our 5 Star Service to clients, team members, referents, and families.
- Demonstrates a high level of clinical skill in assessing the clinical needs of clients, determining appropriate interventions, and conducting individual and group therapy sessions in accordance with these needs.
- Assists in identification of treatment/contract goals, completing the initial psychosocial assessment.
- Responsible for maintaining contact with the assigned client’s referring/outpatient therapist during the course of the client’s stay and the family when/if appropriate.
- Completes and updates treatment plan for assigned clients.
- Assist in providing clinical updates to the insurance company’s Case Manager.
- Meets with clients two to three times weekly, to help explore identified issues and behaviors in relationship to current symptoms.
- Leads and participates in group meetings, meals and other activities in the milieu.
- Provides comprehensive understanding of current behaviors and relational dynamics while using a variety of therapeutic modalities.
- Attends the weekly team meetings and share observations, comments and important information about clients with the treatment team and provides input into the development of the weekly schedules for all of his/her assigned clients.
- Responsible for proper charting and ensuring that all documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assists in meal/snack supervision as assigned and attends special occasion activities for the clients.
- Assists with discharge planning, including a written discharge summary and obtaining referral sources and necessary support systems once the client is discharged.
- Preforms other activities and appropriate responsibilities as requested by the Executive Director.
Additional Responsibilities
- Functions within the guidelines of the facility’s Code of Ethics and in accordance with corporate compliance.
- Provides a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Accomplishes organizational mission by completing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What We Are Seeking/ Education and Experience
Position requires a Master’s Degree, PhD, PsyD, or EdD; license or working toward license (MFT, LPC, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) in the state of Florida. Position requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, preferably with clients with mental health and substance use disorders, strongly preferred.

- Performs duties that require the employee to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- May sit or remain stationary for periods of time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste, or smell.
- Ability to move up to twenty-five pounds.
Other Requirements
Position requires a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

- Advocacy – advocates for the needs and interest of clients and families to promotes clinical excellence through improved outcomes, access to care, and service delivery. Participates in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing client outcomes and strengthening clinical service delivery.

Compensation: Base Salary plus monthly bonus
