Contract Details:
- Duration: 12-month term with full-time opportunity (in-office) upon completion of the term
- Competitive consulting rate with potential for quarterly bonuses based on experience and performance
- Travel: 50%-75%, as needed, to Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare facilities
How You Will Contribute/Position Summary:
Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare is seeking an experienced EHR Project Manager to lead the transition from our existing Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to a new EHR solution. This role will oversee the full project lifecycle, from stakeholder and end-user interviews to vendor selection, implementation, training, and support, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to clinical and operational workflows.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the EHR replacement project plan, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.
- Lead the vendor selection process, including requirements gathering, RFP management, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Oversee system configuration, data migration, testing, implementation, and user training.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively to keep the project on track.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and other healthcare standards.
- Provide regular project updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Develop change management and training strategies to drive adoption and optimize system utilization.
- Work closely with IT and operations teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Are Seeking/Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in healthcare/clinical administration, clinical informatics, information technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience managing, implementing, or replacing EHRs.
- Experience with multiple EHR solutions and knowledge of industry best practices.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral healthcare workflows and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.
- PMP, CPHIMS, or similar project management certification preferred.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive project success in a dynamic environment.
