Join our team as a Dock Hand and be part of a dynamic waterfront operation. As a Dock Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of Odyssey Cruises by assisting with various tasks related to boat docking and dock maintenance, as well and sales.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
-Preparing the boat ramp for embarkation and disembarkation
- Assisting vessels with docking and undocking procedures
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the docks and ticket booth area
-Securing boats properly to docks using ropes and bumpers
- Providing exceptional customer service to all guests
- Fueling boats and performing basic maintenance tasks
- Monitoring dock area for safety hazards and report any issues to management
- Soliciting customers for cruises by answering questions and advertising in front of the ticket booth
- Cross-training to cover the ticket booth on an as-needed basis
Requirements:
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission (automotive)-
-Must be able to bend, stoop, stand for long periods of time and lift 30 lbs, unassisted
-Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, especially Florida summers
-Ability to work weekends and holidays
-Current VALID FL Driver's license
-Ability to pass an employer ordered drug screening test
- Strong communication skills with an even stronger work ethic and customer service orientation
-Must have a positive, can-do, team-player attitude with a focus on doing whatever is necessary to provide the safest & best possible experience for our guests. We help our guests make amazing memories!
-Needs to be self-directed with the ability to follow instructions
