What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Professional/Club Manager position at Odyssey Golf Foundation Golf Course?
Responsible for all golf shop operations including, guest services, guest payments, merchandise sales, and staff management. Responsible for providing positive leadership, budgeting, hiring staff, establish a creative fresh approach to golf shop operations management. Position will be very connected to customer and staff (hands -on) and heightened sense for details will be required. The Head Professional/Manager would serve Odyssey Golf Course, its ownership, members and guests.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to run a professional, service-oriented golf club with an aptitude for the golf shop sales program. Strong background in golf operations imperative. Experience in monitoring daily performances, capital planning, budgeting, staff training/coaching, accounting, creation of business plan, creation of financial review documents, and understanding all licensing issues.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements: 3-5 years experience as a Head Professional or Manager in the golf industry. PGA Member preferred, but not required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or Accounting preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office software. Experience with Club Management software a plus, but not required.
Valid driver's license required.
