Job Title: Territory Sales Manager

Report To: Regional Sales Director


Position Summary:

As the Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of a given sales region. This will include Agency management, training, profitable region growth, and general day to day support of agencies.


Essential Duties:

  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with both internal and external customers
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Maximize business retention by exceptional customer service
    • Lead the development of productive agency plans to maximize business opportunities and profitable revenue growth.
    • Collaborate with all team member stakeholders to drive holistic approach to agency support; internal claims, processing, livestock partners
    • Provide Agency training on processing system, products, and general Crop Insurance knowledge
  • Business Growth:
    • Proactively identify new business growth opportunities in assigned region
    • Conduct market research, and analyze industry trends.
    • Analyze current region business and drive organic growth
    • Meet or exceed assigned annual sales goal
    • Drive profitability within assigned region by strategically growing business
  • Market Expert
    • Become an expert in local region
    • Understand all products and services in the region agents need to be successful
    • Communicate competitive products and trends to internal team for analysis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Crop Insurance experience in any role; Agency, sales, Underwriting, Claims, etc.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and strategize accordingly.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Must live within assigned region
