What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treaty Underwriter, Cyber Reinsurance position at Odyssey Group?
We are dedicated to developing future leaders of our organization and the reinsurance industry. Currently, we are seeking candidates with 3-5 years of underwriting and/or brokering professional liability insurance and/or reinsurance products, to fill the role of Cyber Liability Underwriter.
Essential Functions:
- Dedicated cyber/technology underwriter of treaty and facultative reinsurance products
- Analyze new and renewal cyber liability treaty and facultative submissions for the US Reinsurance Division
- Source new business opportunities in cyber/technology reinsurance for both US Treaty and Facultative Professional Liability Divisions
- Liaise with other global divisions of Odyssey Re where necessary to support cyber liability underwriting efforts
- Develop additional cyber liability underwriting tools/platforms
- Support the development of additional cyber liability actuarial pricing models
- Support the development of additional cyber liability portfolio aggregation monitoring tools
- Act as the center of expertise for emerging threats and opportunities occurring in the cyber liability market
Skills, Knowledge & Ability:
- 3 to 5 years of experience underwriting and/or broking professional liability insurance and/or reinsurance products.
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience dedicated to cyber, media and technology professional liability products
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Graduate degree preferred
- Demonstrated professional development in relevant cyber / technology products preferred
Other:
- Reporting: Reports to VP, Head of North American Cyber Reinsurance
- Location: Stamford or New York based with flexibility to travel between offices as needed
- Must be willing to travel
In New York City, NY the pay range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills, experience and other factors. This range is specific to New York City, NY and may not be applicable to other locations.
