TITLE: Program Director
REPORTS: Vice President, Director of Mental Health & Housing Services/Sr. Director
DEPARTMENT: Clinical
FLSA CODE: Exempt
MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation and coordination of a 50-unit OMH funded CR/SRO Transitional Housing program and OMH ASPIRE Scatter-Site housing program. He/she is responsible for the actions, job performance and guidance of all program employees, and for the direct supervision of the staff. He/she is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance and Odyssey House organizational standards. He/she serves as a bridge between the program staff and the Director of Mental Health & Housing Services.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interview, hire, and orient all program staff.
- Develop and monitor program systems, policies and procedures.
- Act as liaison to funding and referral sources, the community-at-large, and the corporate officers.
- Maintain Quality Assurance/Utilization Review of changes and clinical services.
- Supervise the maintenance of adequate and up-to-date records on all tenants, as well as supervise record-keeping responsibilities of staff.
- Maintain good community and interagency relations.
- Prepare monthly reports for the Director of Mental Health Services. Prepare OMH annual report.
- Ensure supervision for staff as per Odyssey House internal policies. Prepare written annul and six-month evaluations on staff under his/her supervision. Prepare annual evaluations on all staff.
- Comply with all OMH DOMHH regulations and participate in the certification process.
- Maintain good relations with and act as liaison to the state monitoring agency.
- Prepare all proposals and reports as needed.
- Conduct regular clinical and administrative meetings with staff.
- Provide ongoing training for clinical staff and participate in Odyssey House in-service trainings.
- Directly supervises the Administrative Assistant/Entitlements Specialist, the Clinical Coordinator, the Case Managers, Pharmacy Technician and OMH ASPIRE Scatter-Site case manager.
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Master’s Level Clinical Degree preferred or Bachelor's Degree and 5 years administrative or clinical experience working with target population.
- 2 years’ experience in administration and one year in a clinical, mental health, housing or chemical dependency setting.
- Qualified Mental Health Professional (e.g. LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, CRC, Ph.D., MSN)
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- This position will require availability as needed including on call responsibilities.
