Pay: Negotiable (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

You will play an administrative role in overseeing the basic health needs of our residential clients. You will establish a rapport and regularly collaborate with our internal medical team, outside medical offices, community partners, and our partnering pharmacy. You will provide supervision and quality assurance for the medication process, infection control, and incident reporting. Odyssey operates with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support your medical work.
Responsibilities:
- Detailed management and coordination of new admissions including initial medical needs, including but not limited to urgent medications, urgent medical care, urgent dental requirements.
- Communicate with OH clinics, hospitals, medical practices and pharmacies to coordinate client medical care for medications, records, and or referrals.
- Provide supervision, coaching, development, and corrective action to supervisees.
- Act as an effective liaison between behavioral health programs and clinics, including communicating medical and behavioral plans to teams.
- Regularly assess teams for training needs and facilitate training.
- Ensure safe medication administration within the agency, including completing medication certification training for new hires within required timeframes, analyzing MARs for med errors, and engaging in root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with residential treatment staff in deescalating urgent psychological events.
- Communicate with Odyssey House clinic, hospitals, medical practices and pharmacies to coordinate client medical care for medications, records, and or referrals.
- Oversee purchasing, inventory, storage, and distribution of medical supplies in residential medical offices.
- Infection control reporting as required by the Joint Commission.
- Document interactions in Cerner
- Document all incidents and report as required.
- Auditing controlled substances daily
- Quarterly walk through of relevant accreditation standards in residential medical offices.
- Back up for medical coordinators in case of illness, vacation, replacement, etc.
- On Call

Requirements
