Odyssey House is seeking a full-time School-based Therapist to join our Adolescent Program!

Odyssey House is looking for a School Based Therapist who will be responsible for providing direct mental health services year-round to K-12 students and their families experiencing behavioral, substance use, and/or mental health difficulties. The therapist must possess strong organizational and people skills and be proficient or willing to become proficient in trauma-informed care. The therapist must have a high degree of self-motivation and initiation and engage in approved ongoing professional development. The therapist will also provide consultation services to school staff to support its students and the school's overall mental health goals. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
Odyssey House operates with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support your clinical work. This position is open Monday through Friday during school hours, with a later start time two days a week to accommodate families.
Job Location: Salt Lake County area
Compensation: Starting at $65,000 salary

Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct mental health services, including intake assessment, individual/family/group therapy, and crisis intervention to assigned clients.
- Maintain regular contact with the parent/guardian of each client (if appropriate).
- Complete the intake process and assessment.
- Complete treatment plans, treatment plan updates, and progress notes.
- Furnishes reports/updates to Juvenile Court, DCFS, school principals, school guidance
- counselors, teachers, treatment teams, and other involved agencies.
- Attends regularly scheduled school staff meetings and clinical staff meetings.
- Provides consultation for school staff regarding mental health issues, as needed/requested by staff/administrators.
- Provides complete and timely documentation to support services rendered.
- Must consistently demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain good public relations with families, referral agencies and other community resources through appropriate organizational, written, and verbal skills.
- Willingness to engage and grow in cultural competency.
- Attend professional development to improve therapeutic skills when approved.
- Must have excellent attendance.
- Be comfortable with working independently and proactively.
- Other duties assigned.
Requirements
- Current Utah licensure (includes CSWi, CSW, LCSW, ACMHC, CMHC, MFTi, AMFT, LMFT)
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Eligible to work in the USA.
- Receive flu shot, TB test, and COVID-19 vaccine (spiritual and medical waivers available)
- Must be able to work one to two evenings per week to accommodate working families.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
