What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Technician position at Odyssey Information Services (Houston)?
This is contract role expected to last through the end of May at least
Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to):
- Assist patients in educating them on the procedures to be performed in a calm and courteous manner
- Prepare equipment and patients rooms for use
- Position and monitor patients during their imaging exams
- Submit views to provider for their review
- Always ensure safety of patient and equipment
- Administer targeted doses of radiation to the patient as needed
- Troubleshoot equipment as needed
CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- MRT license and ARRT Certification is required
- EMR: Epic experience is preferred
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate/technical degree from an accredited college is required.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
