What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/Mixologist position at Odyssey Lodge?
We are seeking an experienced Bartender/ Mixologist to join our team during peak summer season. This role is perfect for a hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic, high-end adventure lodge environment. You will be part of our front-of-house team, ensuring an exceptional dining and bar experience that complements the breathtaking setting of Odyssey Lodge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with guests in a fast paced setting while keeping up with orders, crafting signature cocktails, pouring beer, wine and other beverages.
- Work with Servers on drink orders
- Create an engaging, welcoming atmosphere that aligns with Odyssey Lodge’s brand and luxury experience
- Craft and maintain seasonal cocktail menus, help with bar inventory, and ensure high standards in mixology and beverage service
- Work closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth food and beverage service
- Ensure compliance with Alaska liquor laws, health, and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all dining and bar areas
- Assist with payroll, scheduling, and inventory management
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience behind a bar with signature cocktail and mixology experience
- Strong teamwork skills
- Knowledge of craft cocktails, wine, and beer selection
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-end service environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a remote setting with a small, close-knit team
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs and stand for long periods
- Alaska Alcohol Server Certification (or ability to obtain before employment)
Schedule: This position oversees operations during the restaurant's seasonal schedule, open from May to September.
