About The Job

The Utility-Building Maintenance position will be primarily responsible for the cleanliness and maintaining the companies interior offices and outside grounds to company standards.

In This Role, You Will

• Adhere to maintenance, shop rules and safety regulations
• Establish rapport with co-workers(s), carrier(s), vendor(s), and driver(s).
• Pick up parts and material for maintenance department.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, strip/wax floors as needed, disinfect, clean windows, empty garbage/shop rag cans, etc.
• Office maintenance, clean floors, bathroom facilities, kitchen, clean shop offices and bays, etc.
• Order, inventory and stock toiletries and other cleaning supplies.
• Stock kitchen supplies daily; and clean refrigerator as requested or needed.
• Grounds maintenance, raking, lawn mowing, snow removal, salting sidewalks, sweeping, etc.
• Audit yard and building cleanliness, access needs and make recommendations.
• Audit equipment parking of Tractors and Trailers to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Participate in company training programs, safety events, meetings when requested.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.

Required

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
• Valid Drivers’ License is required.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools, janitorial equipment, etc.
• Ability to read and comprehend directions
• Responsible for periodic driving duties for non-CDL commercial vehicles within the parameters of your job duties; which will further require you to maintain an active driver's license at all times. Should your driver's license status change, you are required to report the change to your supervisor immediately.

This is an in-office role based in Chesterton, IN.
