Odyssey Logistics is a leader in the warehouse & transportation industry. Odyssey offers an extensive range of value-added services including specialized product handling, rail and container services, customized inventory management, distribution & transportation. We are currently seeking outstanding salespeople to market our services and expand our business in key locations across the country.
The position is based in Chicago with up to 50% travel. Candidate should have extensive experience in warehousing and transportation including trucking, rail, and intermodal. Ideal candidate will have experience in transload / cross dock operations and freight consolidation.
The position of Sales Manager will have the primary responsibility of selling and providing added services to achieve the company’s sales goals and objectives. The Sales Manager will execute strategic sales plans to drive business growth, with a focus on acquiring new clients and maintaining strong relationships with existing ones. This role will drive sales growth in the consumer warehousing and transportation industry.
In This Role, You Will :
- Determine customer needs & volume potential.
- Execute sales strategies & objectives that match operational capabilities.
- Build new business.
- Expand business with existing clients.
- Maintain a positive client relationship.
- Monitor the market for competitor’s services.
- Participate in contract negotiations.
- Represent company at trade shows or industry meetings.
