Ruttger's Bay Lake Resort Banquet & Events Team Member
Ruttger's Bay Lake Resort is seeking personable, positive, and professional individuals who enjoy working as a team but are also able to work independently while remaining on task to assure the best possible overall guest experience. As a banquet and event team member, our goal is to create a memorable event and dining experience while providing friendly, attentive, and timely service for weddings, corporate groups, family reunions, holiday parties, and other such catering events.
Expectations:
The employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill these functions. Ruttger's further expects every employee to exhibit stellar guest service and a regular attendance record.
Essential Duties:
• Responsible for the set-up and breakdown of all event spaces both indoor and outdoor, according to Banquet Event Order details while working under the instruction of the Sales & Events Assistant.
• Such responsibilities include but are not limited to set-up and tear down of tables, chairs, linens, podiums, and audio/visual.
• Responsible for serving and clearing banquet, conference services, and catering events of all types and sizes.
• Greets guests and delivers food and beverage from the kitchen and bar in a timely and friendly manner.
• Monitors and observes events and the guests' dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with food and services while responding promptly and courteously to any requests.
• Answers questions pertaining to event function and general resort services.
• Cleans banquet and event spaces during and after functions.
• Performs side work during each shift as assigned.
• Maintains, cleans, and stocks service and dining areas during each shift.
• Follows proper food handling practices and procedures.
• Any and all other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
• Previous knowledge of A/V equipment helpful.
• One (1) year hospitality experience preferred.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One-year prior food and beverage service experience preferred.
• Ability to provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team with the ability to multi-task.
• Proper uniform is required and must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• May be required to work varying schedules.
• Must be able to pass Ruttger's background check.
• Valid Driver's License.
