DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping (seasonal)
REPORTS TO: Director of Housekeeping
Summary
Responsible for laundering all resort linens, keeping clean and organized shelves, and maintaining interdepartmental lines of communication.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
EXPECTATIONS:
The employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill these functions.). Every employee must exhibit stellar guest service and a regular attendance record. If problems arise, employee will contact a member of housekeeping management. Follow all rules and policies as set forth in the employee handbook.

DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping (seasonal)
REPORTS TO: Director of Housekeeping
Summary
Responsible for laundering all resort linens, keeping clean and organized shelves, and maintaining interdepartmental lines of communication.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- Previous hotel / resort related experience beneficial.
- Previous laundering related experience beneficial.
- Spot clean heavily soiled items, while following all safety protocols.
- Add appropriate chemicals to washers to enhance cleaning effectiveness.
- Operate washing machines and dryers, selecting correct settings for each load.
- Load and unload laundry into and out of commercial washers and dryers.
- Fold and sort cleaned laundry, assembling sets and properly bagging and labeling items as needed.
- Cut unsalvageable towels into rags.
- Empty dryer lint traps from dryers regularly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including shelves and the break room.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Support cleaning of break room bathrooms as needed
- May be required to assist with room stripping.
- Foster positive working relationships and communication with all departments.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Must be able to pass Ruttger's/Odyssey background check.
- Must be at least 14 years of age.
- See in color; adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision.
- Stand; walk; sit; kneel; lift; push; pull; reach with arms and hands; move objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds.
- The scheduled end of shift is tentative and may require housekeeping/ laundry to leave early or stay late.
