Job Summary/Objective
Plans and coordinates the design, installation, administration, and usage of server, storage, virtualization, and other distributed technologies. Conducts system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Coordinates communication and support between user community and the technical/operations functions of IT in relationship with all Windows functions. Provides recommendations and technology roadmaps to management in the research, design, and development of effective operating programs, systems, procedures, and practices.
Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential To The Job)
A bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.
Experience, Skills And Key Competencies
At least 3 years of experience in troubleshooting hardware/software for servers, plus 2 or more years of systems engineering experience designing and implementing server virtualization platforms (Azure, AWS, VMWare) and Microsoft server/workstation technologies.

- Follows established procedure and direction regarding authorized software (operating system and application) installed on servers and workstations.
- Oversees SaaS communication facilities platforms; continues performance enhancements with measurable benchmarks.
- Researches, installs, and tests software updates and patches to supported applications and various operating systems.
- Interfaces with various areas of IT staff to support ongoing efforts, giving and receiving technical information.
- Provides 2nd level technical support for hardware maintenance; repairs or replaces defective hardware on servers, as necessary; expedites repairs with outside services.
- Provides technology stewardship for distributed technologies such as DNS, SMTP, DHCP domain controllers, active directory applications, printing, mail, web servers and FTP services for the Enterprise.
- Researches new technologies as requested in coordination with senior or management staff members.
- Addresses potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed.
- Monitors system logs and activity on company servers. Reacts to alerts and escalates accordingly by engaging the necessary resources (internal and external) to OEC.
- Assists facilities with needed technology for conference rooms, cubes, printers/copiers, security cameras, etc. performing comparative data on required equipment.

- Broad knowledge of Identity platforms (Entra, Microsoft Active Directory, Okta); general networking concepts (TCP/IP / DHCP / WINS / DNS), SharePoint, Email (SMTP, Exchange), file technologies (DFS, OneDrive), local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), mobile device management (MDM, Intune, Jamf), tenant and SaaS platform migration (BitTitan).
- Fundamentals of telephony via a SaaS platform.
- Tracking work within a ticketing and project management system
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships across global teams.
- Ability to apply principles of analytical thinking to define problems, identify gaps, collect data, establish facts, and develop recommendations to solve problems based on all considerations.
- Able to quickly learn and gain an understanding of OEC technologies.
- Must be available for scheduled 24-hour ‘on-call’ service to respond to system emergencies.
- Occasional travel locally, nationally, and/or internationally.
