This is a Hybrid role working 2 days remote and 3 days onsite. Candidates must live within commuting distance to our office in Bee Cave, TX to be considered for this role.
Job Summary/Objective
Provides day-to-day guidance, support and mentorship to a team of Business Development Representatives, driving revenue growth and expanding market presence in the automotive tech sector.
Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)
1. Manages daily activities and staff of the Business Development team which includes setting individual metrics and team goals, communicating priorities, providing performance feedback, offering professional development opportunities, and delegating and managing work assignments. Addresses and documents performance issues in a timely manner.
2. Develops and executes strategic business development via an inbound funnel to achieve company revenue targets.
3. Optimizes and iterates on existing sales processes.
4. Utilizes the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track team performance, generate reports, and provide forecasts.
5. Leverages Gong.io for call analytics and coaching to improve team performance.
6. Collaborates with product, marketing, and engineering teams to align business development efforts with company goals.
7. Partners closely with sales enablement and operations teams to implement best practices, improve processes, and enhance team performance.
8. Provides regular performance updates to senior leadership.
9. Assists department leadership with hiring and onboarding of new team members.
Education
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the role's key responsibilities will be considered a substitute for the degree.
Experience, Skills and Key Competencies
At least 8 years of experience in business development or sales, with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, and at least 1 year of informal management experience such as leading workgroup or cross-functional projects, helping with delegation of work, providing mentorship/guidance to junior level team members, or assisting leadership with management-related duties.
