OEG EnviroPak a division of OEG Offshore has been manufacturing waste reduction units for over 40 years. We are located in New Iberia and provide units for the Gulf of Mexico as well as worldwide. We are looking to increase our staffing to support the growing product lines.
We are looking for a responsible and dedicated Assembly Technician to better support our customer base. This roles duties include assembling compactors, food grinders, and subassemblies. You must be able to work independently and with the highest levels of integrity.
The ideal candidate will have experience in assembling products, working with hand tools, and following detailed instructions. The Assembly Technician will be responsible for inspecting parts for quality assurance, troubleshooting any issues that arise during the assembly process, and ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to specifications.
- Perform quality control checks on assembled products.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with the assembly process.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Basic industrial mechanic skills
- Experience with motor controls
- Knowledge of electrical enclosure wiring
- Hydraulics knowledge of control circuits, cylinder, valves, pumps
- Forklift operating
- Overhead crane operating
- A valid drivers license
- An electrician's background a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
