About the Role:
Do you have experience in the boiler industry, parts sales, HVAC systems, or related trades? Do you have a knack for providing professional and efficient customer service? As a Parts Specialist, you will play a vital role in both sales and operations, fielding inbound customer inquiries, managing inventory, and processing orders. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who thrives in a customer-focused environment. The employee must be onsite Monday-Friday in Elizabethtown, PA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with parts inquiries and orders via phone and email, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Perform duties in both office and warehouse environments, which may include extended periods of standing or walking, and lifting parts weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Identify customer solutions and lead times using the inventory system, engineering drawings, technical documentation, and vendor supply chain analysis.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing from suppliers.
- Use QuickBooks and Microsoft Office to process sales quotes and maintain records (training available if needed).
- Ensure quality control of parts and execute timely packing and shipping to meet deadlines.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and thoroughly.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Prior experience in the boiler industry, parts sales, HVAC systems, or related trades is preferred but not required. A tradesman background or mechanical/technical mindset along with a willingness to learn and continuously improve is highly valued.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility to learn and perform a variety of tasks within a small team environment.
- Technology: Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook email and QuickBooks is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Customer Service: Excellent communication skills, with a professional demeanor and ability to assist customers and troubleshoot problems.
- Attitude: A willingness to learn and wear multiple hats within a dynamic small business environment.
