What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Apartment Maintenance Technician position at OEM?
We are searching for Maintenance Technician for our community. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs that may include, but are not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry work related to household, building, and property groundskeepers.
Qualifications/Required Experience
- Available to work on-call during nights/weekends and Company events
- Turn apartments in a timely manner
- Respond quickly to deficiencies found in preventative maintenance inspections.
- Perform daily property walk
- Communicate daily with the property Maintenance Supervisor on requests, supply needs etc.
- Adhere to and stay current on all applicable building codes, safety standards and fair housing laws.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- HVAC and plumbing- 1 year preferred
- Apartment Maintenance- 2 years preferred
- Needs HVAC and CPO certifications.
- Must be able to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and ability to navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
- Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and ability to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.
