What You’ll Do:
1. Vendor Management:
Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate competitive pricing and favorable terms for agreements.
Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, addressing any issues for continuous improvement.
Handle order status updates and coordinate drop shipments with vendors.
2. Procurement Strategy:
Work closely with the Purchasing team to align procurement strategy with overall business goals.
Set and maintain par levels for inventory in our FL warehouse.
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and help streamline processes.
3. Inventory Management:
Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to keep team up to date on inventory issues and substitutions.
Oversee stock levels to meet customer demands while minimizing costs.
Implement effective inventory controls to prevent stockouts and short dated or past dated inventory.
4. Cost Control:
Analyze buying and shipping and find ways to reduce costs without compromising quality.
Monitor and report on cost savings initiatives.
5. Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all purchased products meet our high-quality standards.
Work closely with Customer Care and the Warehouse teams to resolve quality, shortages or damage issues.
6. Supply Chain Optimization:
Ensure products are delivered to customers and stock is replenished on time.
Look for ways to optimize the supply chain and reduce lead times.
7. Market Research and Analysis:
Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and new products.
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and purchasing opportunities.
8. Team Collaboration:
Train and collaborate with your team to meet company goals.
Foster a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment.
9. Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present regular reports on inventory and drop ship performance.
Use data-driven insights to drive process improvements and cost savings.
