The Supply Chain Manager directs OES' overall supply chain management (SCM) operations, including demand planning, purchasing, supplier management, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, IMMEX, and distribution of goods activities in the United States and Mexico.

Supply Chain Management :

  • Develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, profitability, and efficiency of corporate-wide Supply Chain Management operations.
  • Drive the development and achievement of KPIs for Procurement, Planning, and Inventory departments to meet the company's' and customers' strategic needs.
  • Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
  • Partner with the Finance and Accounting department to facilitate P&L reporting and analysis, in accordance with company standards.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures in compliance with an integrated management system.

Demand Planning :

  • Develop and deploy demand planning and risk mitigation techniques for all suppliers to ensure effective continuity of the supply chain and meet our customers' on-time delivery metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Finance, and Operations teams in the planning process.
  • Procure materials by evaluating past performance data and customer demands to forecast and fulfill material needs required for production schedules.
  • Work with other functional areas to coordinate engineering changes, product line extensions, and new product launches to ensure orderly and timely material management, logistics, and production flow transitions.
  • Purchasing and Supplier Management :

  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness in the marketplace.
  • Manage critical suppliers to ensure they achieve quality, delivery, and cost metrics that ensure the company meets our customers' needs.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supplier quality scorecard / measurement process and review schedules to ensure suppliers have appropriate manufacturing capability, capacity, and quality and meet or exceed company expectations.
  • Inventory Management :

  • Maintain ERP data to support purchasing, receiving, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate with the sales and operations team to implement price changes and ensure continued profitability of services and products.
  • Manage company-wide inventory of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support on-time delivery metrics while meeting working capital goals.
  • Warehouse, Transportation, and Distribution Operations :

  • Serve as customer liaison for customers that require regular reporting, reconciliation, and inventory updates.
  • Direct and coordinate the onboarding of new customers and new product introductions within FL.
  • Responsible and accountable for all transportation-related operations for Interplant freight movement and customer delivery freight movements within the distribution network.
  • Ensure all certifications and legal requirements are met for transportation and cross-border movement of goods.
  • Manage and Oversee IMMEX operations.
  • Sustainability and Improvement :

  • Coach, direct, and promote a culture of continuous improvement utilizing Lean principles (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Material Flow, Visual Management, Root Cause Problem Solving, etc.) with team members and peers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve environmental sustainability within areas of responsibility, with a focus on minimizing waste, converting waste to by-products, recycling, and disposing of materials responsibly.
  • Select, coach, and develop staff. Set clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manage performance recognizing achievement, providing feedback, and administering progressive discipline when necessary.

  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITY :

    This position manages all employees within the Warehousing, Transportation, Procurement and Materials Management Departments and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within these departments.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT :

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK :

    This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

    Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area and overnight travel may be expected.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, reaching above and below shoulder level, twist and work with computer equipment. May involve lifting up to 30 pounds of equipment. Ability to identify and distinguish colors, ability to see distance and up close with or without corrective lenses. Must be able to sit, for long periods without leaving the work area. Must be able to push and pull items as needed / required. Ability to walk considerable distances during the course of his / her work.

    DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BS / BA in Business Supply Chain or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7 or more years of experience managing supply chain operations (Purchasing, Inventory)
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience in the use and application of the most current technologies and products used in the industry.
  • Leadership : A demonstrated ability to lead people and drive results.
  • Strategy and planning : Ability to plan over a 6-12 month time span.
  • Management : Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem analysis and resolution at both the strategic and functional level.

  • Beneficial Skills & Experience :

    Bachelor's degree in related field or 8 years as a supply chain manager experience
