What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Ofab, Inc.?
Ofab, Inc. is seeking an experienced Material Handler for our 1st Shift Monday- Friday (6:00a.m.-2:30p.m.). Must have material handling experience and be able to read a tape measure and use calipers. Forklift experience preferred, but not necessary.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain adequate inventory to keep work orders flowing.
- Order material when inventory runs low.
- Responsible for being organized and keeping material clean.
- Inspect inbound freight for damages/shortages.
- Route products from manufacturing area to staging area.
- Route materials to appropriate location in the warehouse from manufacturing and/or Receiving.
- Responsible to keeping work area clean and free of debris.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs. unassisted.
- Must be able to use calipers and and a tape measure.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
- Responsible for completing work in a timely manner.
- Responsible for working in a safe manner including wearing safety equipment required.
- Responsible for reporting any safety issues.
- Responsible for all other duties as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
