Off Road Paws is a dog fitness and pet sitting business and we are looking for an energetic, responsible, professional animal lover to come work with us. Who wouldn't want to spend their days with adorable dogs outside in beautiful Colorado? Our mission is to help owners keep their pets happy and healthy with a focus on providing dogs of all ages, medical conditions and sizes the individualized exercise and special care they need. We are hiring for dog joggers right now. Walks, hikes and pet sitting are also available, but you must enjoy running and be able to jog with dogs multiple times a week.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Part-time hours: Dog walking, jogging, hiking and pet sitting (dogs and cats) position available. Must be ok with jogging. Position would be for 3-4 days per week including one weekend day. Need availability in the 6:30am-4pm range and some evening pet sits (6pm-8pm). On weekends hours can be anytime between 7am and 8pm. Hours will vary per week, but will generally in the 8-12 hrs per week to start, but has potential to grow based on availability and interest. At least one year commitment and hopefully more ideal. Hours can vary per week.
Services are offered in Louisville, Lafayette and areas of Western Broomfield/South Boulder. MUST LIVE IN LOUISVILLE, LAFAYETTE, SOUTH BOULDER OR WESTERN BROOMFIELD (west of 287 or Flatiron Mall area). NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED OUTSIDE OF THIS AREA DUE TO EXCESSIVE DRIVING TIME FOR EMPLOYEE.
Professional experience working with animals of all sizes and personalities preferable, but not required. Comfortable with running with dogs and hiking with dogs sometimes off-leash. Experience medicating dogs and cats preferred. Management experience a plus!
Car that can hold at least 2-3 dogs separately and is capable of driving safely in all weather conditions. 4WD or AWD a must. MUST BE OK WITH DOG HAIR AND DIRT IN CAR!
Excellent communication skills with clients and ability to work with dogs and cats of all sizes, ages and personalities. We expect complete professionalism and compassion for animals and clients from our employees. Must LOVE ANIMALS. . .. Of course!
Compensation:
$19-26/hour
Additional pay on certain services
Gas compensation based on monthly hours
Annual raises based on performance.
W-2 employees not independent contractors
CPR class and certification- class paid for by employer
