Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage routes efficiently. The Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through prompt and professional service.
Duties
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling of items.
- Operate a box truck or van, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently, delivering packages in a timely manner.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Handle any issues or delays that may arise during the delivery process professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and receipts.
- Assist with moving items as needed, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in route driving or commercial driving preferred.
- Familiarity with operating box trucks, vans, or other delivery vehicles.
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong physical stamina for lifting and moving packages (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
