Catering Chef

Off Shore Resort is hiring a catering chef! Come work in our brand new state-of-the-art catering kitchen! This position is open to both part-time and full-time candidates however weekends are required for all onsite weddings.

OVERVIEW

Our ideal candidate is a creative professional who is willing to participate in creating delicious food for our weddings and events. You should have excellent communication skills with in-depth knowledge of several cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes. You will act as direct support to the Director of F&B / Executive Chef. You will also assist the restaurant kitchen when time permits. You will execute daily operations in a manner that will achieve our primary objective of creating a wonderful customer experience while maintaining great margins.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

• Consistently deliver superior meal quality and service excellence to create an outstanding experience for every guest, every time.
• Work relentlessly to drive sales up, drive costs down, and continuously improve profits.
• Work closely with the event manager and all event staff to promote a positive and cooperative working relationship between and among all departments of the restaurant and event center.
• Work to grow Off Shore Resort catering business, both on and offsite
• Provide support to the restaurant back of house when time/schedule permits

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for preparing and cooking all food for all events and weddings.
• Ensure that all meals are prepared and served on time.
• Work with banquet/event servers to ensure the orders are served according to request and in a timely manner.
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
• Ensure kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
• Keep catering kitchen, refrigerators and reach-ins clean and organized.
• Maintain positive relations with all other staff members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
