Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Wine Tender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in fine dining or catering environments. As a Wine Tender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, guiding them through our wine selection, and ensuring an enjoyable experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide them with information about our wine offerings.
• Assist customers in selecting wines that complement their snacks, taking into account their preferences and tastes.
• Manage the wine inventory, including stocking and maintaining proper storage conditions.
• Operate the POS system for processing orders and handling cash transactions accurately.
• Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations while serving beverages and small bites.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the wine bar.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential.
• Knowledge of wines, including varietals, regions, and tasting notes is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests.
• Ability to obtain TX seller/server permit required. (reimbursed)

Pay: From $9.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
