Summary : The National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) leads the nation's effort to protect the United States from terrorism by integrating, analyzing, and sharing information to drive whole-of-government action and achieve our national CT objectives.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the NCTC's Office of Information Technology Services' principal advisor on technology issues directly supporting the Assistant Director of ITS.
- Oversee the effective integration and interoperability of disparate capabilities developed by separate service providers.
- Work with Project Managers to oversee and make recommendations on the work of system integrators.
- Develop, evaluate, and analyze project proposals and action plans : determining impact on current resources and forecasting resource needs.
- Maintain effective working relationships with other ODNI and IC components and other government agencies to address issues that span multiple mission or program areas.
- Analyze a wide range of short and long-term strategic issues resulting from changes in legislation and policy or new technologies to assess the effect on NCTC's mission, develop strategy, and conduct planning and programming.
- Work in conjunction with technical partners to deliver capabilities that leverage and integrate with the organization's broader IT and data ecosystem to enable faster, more-informed support to operations.
These efforts focus on modernizing and securing the IT foundation, capitalizing on new technological advances, and delivering a more seamless user experience.

Qualifications :
Education : Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, or a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
Experience : Generally, 12-15 years of IT related experience. IT related experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and / or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT Certification). IT related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies (Attention to detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving).
