Summary : On behalf of the Director of Administration and Management, the Director, Information Management and Technology Directorate develops a vision and plan for digital modernization and marshals support and funding for its realization. This role closely coordinates with all Principal Staff Assistants and peer organizations to consolidate and validate requirements for IT service providers.

Responsibilities :
- Oversees Information Technology (IT) strategy, governance, architecture, performance management, financial management, and cyber-security risk management.
- Supports coordination between Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Components and IT service providers, ensuring high-quality delivery that meets technical requirements and cost-effectiveness.
- Acts as the IT advisor to OSD Components in modernizing their applications and systems in alignment with larger Departmental strategies and policies.
- Serves as the cyber risk manager for OSD IT infrastructure, advising on cyber-security related issues and informing cyber-security related policies.
- Develops consistent and strategic approaches to the application of information and technology across the enterprise.
- Leads development of strategy, planning, governance, information and technical operating model, and performance management of OSD information systems and infrastructure.
- Participates in the Joint Staff requirements process, the DoD acquisition process, and the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution process.
- Maintains continuing interface with Congressional Committee staffs to provide briefings, respond to inquiries, and prepare Congressional testimony and statements as required.
