Office of the Secretary of Defense Senior Advisor, Intellectual Property Location : Pentagon, VirginiaSummary : The position of Senior Advisor, Intellectual Property reports to the Director, Acquisition Policy and Innovation, within the Office of the Principal Director, Defense Pricing, Contracting, and Acquisition Policy. The Senior Advisor is responsible for the policy of Intellectual Property across the Department of Defense.Responsibilities : Major duties include, but are not limited to : Developing, refining and interpreting policy and implementation of acquisition and licensing of Intellectual Property (IP) across the Department of Defense.Working closely with the other Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Component staff, senior DoD leadership to advise on the execution of IP laws, regulations, and policies.Formulating and overseeing the development, review, and implementation of IP laws, regulations, and policies.Supporting program managers to develop program IP strategies and leading customer engagement activities.Overseeing the development of technical advice in the areas of IP, including system architecture, IP re-use, and business process re-engineering.Leading preparation and review of correspondence and requests concerning assigned programs directed to senior defense officials.Requirements : To meet the minimum qualification requirements for this position, you must show that you possess the Mandatory Technical Qualifications, and other qualifications, if applicable, listed below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations.MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS : All applicants must submit written statements of accomplishments that would satisfy the technical qualifications.
