Summary As an IT Specialist (DATAMGT) at the GS-2210-13, you will be part of the Office of the Inspector General, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for managing and engineering data related to the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program (FEHBP). Responsibilities Maintains data repositories and applications for storing, retrieving, and analyzing health care insurance claims and relevant data to support audit and investigative oversight. Provides development support for data warehousing, data management, and application development. Serves as a primary point of contact for revising or correcting existing data feeds and establishing new data feeds into the data warehouse. Develops detailed requirements for new or revised computer applications to identify fraud, waste, abuse, and improper payments. Assesses the quality and integrity of collected data, performs analysis, and generates reports. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Additional Requirements : For the GS13 : You must have served at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing all the following tasks : Reviewing healthcare insurance claim to ensure accurate data processing and compliance with standards; and Designing and maintaining relational and dimensional data models for healthcare claims data warehouses; and Creating and editing scripts for data engineering and data processing. Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 13 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
