Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time Parks and Recreation Outdoor Custodian. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our outdoor recreational areas and facilities. Utilize the client’s customized commercial cleaning checklist to perform all tasks to the standards established. Common tasks include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas.
- Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other designated spaces.
- Restock supplies in restrooms and break rooms.
- Perform sweeping, mopping, and debris removal in the designated area.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables from bins.
- Clean and maintain outdoor furniture and equipment.
- Assist with the setup and takedown of equipment and signage for outdoor events and activities.
- Punctually report to work as per the schedule, adhere to established service standards, and ensure the client's facility is securely locked upon completion of your duties and departure.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures pertaining to task execution, product or supply usage, and incident reporting.
- Detail oriented – pays attention to details at each customer’s location, with extra attention to any special requests.
- Friendly and Professional – able to deal with customers when they are on-site while cleaning is being performed
- Self starter - able to identify work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed to do so.
- Reasoning ability. Good common sense with ability to solve practical problems.
- Experience in a service environment is preferred, but not required.
- This position involves outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Weekend, holiday, and evening work may be required during peak seasons and events.
- Physical stamina is essential for performing tasks that involve lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing or walking.
