Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Art Department Manager to lead our creative

team and oversee the art and layout department. This is a unique opportunity for a

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and Inspire the Art Layout Team:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of talented designers, fostering a collaborative

and committed work environment that promotes productivity.

  • Provide feedback, guidance, and support to ensure the team’s growth and

success.

2. Oversee Art Layout and Design Processes:

  • Ensure the creation of customer-focused digital sign proofs that meet and

exceed expectations.

  • Emphasize clear communication, strong design principles, and innovative

solutions tailored to client needs.

3. Project Management:

  • Collaborate with account managers, customer service, and production

teams to understand project requirements and ensure timely, high-quality

delivery.o Effectively allocate resources and proactively address challenges to

maintain workflow efficiency and proactively take on projects as required.

4. Creative Direction:

  • Set the artistic vision for projects, balancing design aesthetics with practical

functionality.

  • Maintain consistency with the company’s branding and quality standards.

5. Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure all deliverables meet the highest

standards of quality, accuracy, and design integrity.

6. Team Development:

  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to keep the team

current with industry trends and tools.

  • Build a cohesive, high-performing team that excels in a fast-paced

production environment.

7. Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other department managers to ensure seamless

coordination of projects and effective prioritization of tasks.

8. Vendor and Freelancer Management:

  • Coordinate with external agencies and freelancers as needed, ensuring their

work aligns with company standards and deadlines.

9. Performance Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor department performance using KPIs and provide actionable insights

to optimize efficiency and output.

10. Enhance Company Culture:

  • Contribute to a positive, fun, and engaging work environment while

upholding the company’s core values of collaboration and creativity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent

experience).

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in design, layout, or a similar role.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a high-paced environment.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and the Adobe Creative Suite. * Strong understanding of layout principles, typography, color theory, and printing mechanics.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines with precision.

  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for great design.
  • Experience in the sign industry is a plus.
