Summary As a Supervisory IT Specialist (ENTARCH), your primary responsibility will be to oversee and lead the technical planning, implementation, and management of the Division's enterprise activities. In addition, you will serve as the Assistant Chief Information Officer for IT Engineering and Operations, leading the Division's IT transformation. You will also be part of agency working groups tasked with improving IT services throughout the agency. Responsibilities As a GS- 2210-15, your typical work assignments may include the following : Serving as senior expert and consultant to the Civil Division Deputy CIO to advise on integrating IT programs. Providing administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit. Assuring that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of the safety regulations. Serving as the technology advisor for the Division, responsible for overseeing the activities associated with technology compliance reviews to assess the overall effectiveness of technology implementation across the Division. Leading quick response teams in responding to customer service problems resulting from power outages, etc. Issuing technical bulletins to inform customers of problems and to instruct them in necessary actions. Collaborating with vendors and end users on a daily basis to ensure that contract requirements are met and all activities are performed in compliance with the terms of the contract. Leading a team of senior engineers in projects to prototype and pilot new system concepts and strategies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the position of Supervisory IT Specialist (Enterprise Architecture) at GS-2210-15 , you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to. If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level as listed in the qualifications below. Time-in-Grade applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. To qualify for the GS 15 Supervisory IT Specialist (ENTARCH) position, you must have one year ofspecialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level performing such duties as : overseeing IT systems operations and the building of modern IT systems; managing IT operational projects which consist of the development of project plans and cost estimates; developing a comprehensive IT strategy that includes virtualization, networking, and storage systems; identifying new approaches, emerging information technologies, and / or applications for agency utilization.
