Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-car driving lessons following curriculum and safety protocols
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students
- Engaging delivery of classroom instruction, following curriculum and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress
- Maintain accurate records of lessons and student progress
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid driver’s license held for at least 5 years with no more than 4 points on driving record
- Willing to complete fingerprint background check and physical
- Strong communication and mentoring skills
- Enjoy working with teenagers and adults
- Comfort with using technology
- Availability to work evenings and weekends, as driving instruction often requires availability outside traditional hours

We're proud to be one of the few driving schools in Michigan certified to offer the Instructor Preparation Program (IPP) — your pathway to becoming a state-certified driver education instructor in under four months!
Next IPP Training Location: Garden City, MI
Program Dates: July 7, 2025 – September 2025
Commitment: 180 total hours
Includes All 4 Required State Courses:
- 501: Driver Task Analysis (45 hours)
- 502: Developing Classroom Instructional Knowledge (45 hours)
- 503: Developing Vehicle Operational Skills (45 hours)
- 504: Student Teaching Practicum (45 hours)
Our hands-on, practical training approach prepares you to excel in all aspects of teaching and mentoring new drivers.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (Minimum 20 hours/week)
- Pay: $20.00/hour (post-certification)
- Work Location: In-person at our Monroe location
- Training Location: Garden City (for IPP participants)
