Control Room Operator - Trainee

Position Responsibilities

• Operate the dryer effectively and efficiently.
• Create and assist the Supervisor with the Supervisor’s daily log to track product flow through the plant operations.
• Create and maintain the production paperwork for incoming and outgoing lots; this paperwork must remain in order.
• Production paperwork is to be checked for yield and shrink accuracy before being released to Logistics Supervisors.
• Keep management fully informed of operating activities under his/her jurisdiction and of any problems encountered.
• Must follow safe work practices and comply with all company, federal and state rules and regulations which apply to the job, including but not limited to, right to know, emergency evacuation, electrical safety, confined space, Bloodborne pathogens, and lockout/tagout.
• All employees are responsible for the quality of OEN products. Each employee must perform his/her job function in accordance with the GMP rules and the sanitation, safety, and HACCP Programs.
• Execute special projects and other job-related activities as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to manage or execute more than one task at a time (multitasking).
• Computer skills utilizing Microsoft office, excel, email communication and Avery labeling software are critical.
• Ability to read, write, and perform math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, averages, and percentages using a calculator.
• Understand written and oral communications and instructions.
• Self-starter skills; working without supervision and ability to resolve conflicts.
• Be available to work any shift days, 2nd shift or nights
