Position Summary

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, installation of machines, tools, and equipment and in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of the facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will direct, and coordinate activities of workers and contractors engaged in maintenance activities with direction from the Maintenance Manager to ensure the continued operations of Production.

Position Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct maintenance personnel, including workload assignments and provide feedback on work. Assist in the maintenance activities of the facility and its grounds.
• Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
• Coordinate activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
• Direct maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
• Maintain and perform preventive maintenance program.
• Directs training and instruction of workers to improve work performance and familiarize workers with company policies and procedures.
• Directs Maintenance personnel in execution of Maintenance procedures. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams and equipment/building drawings.
• Provide support for Capital Improvement projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Position Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a job-related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in maintenance with manufacturing.
• Strong computerized maintenance management system knowledge.
• Technical or Associate degree preferred.
• Ability to perform maintenance department administrative duties.
• Demonstrate mechanical and electrical knowledge and repair abilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Investigate and complete failure analysis.
• Exhibit strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in mechanical drafting, and organizational skills.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to develop productive and collaborative working relationships across departments is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to interface with all types of maintenance contractors.
• High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task multiple complicated tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform and comprehend verbal and written communication in English is required.
• Ability to work off-shifts and weekends as needed and be on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform root cause analysis.
