Position Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, Plant Manager, or QA Manager, the Quality Assurance team will assume responsibility for testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process, compiling and evaluating data to determine the quality and reliability of products.
Position Responsibilities
- Obtain and grade samples as required and report directly to the Quality & Food Safety Manager, Plant Manager or Shift Superintendent.
- Record samples and production data.
- Complete all production paperwork consistently and accurately.
- Periodically check to ensure the picking table is running at maximum capacity to achieve the highest quality finished product.
- All employees are directly responsible for the quality of OEN products. Each employee must perform their job function in accordance with the GMP Rules, Sanitation, Safety, and HACCP programs.
- Keep the Quality & Food Safety Manager, General Manager, and Shift Superintendent informed of any difficulties and recommend solutions for their consideration.
- Must follow safe work practices and comply with all company, federal, and state rules and regulations that apply to the job, including but not limited to Right to know, emergency evacuation, electrical safety, confined space, bloodborne pathogens, and lockout/tagout.
- Ensure all equipment is adequately maintained, functioning correctly, and used as intended.
- Sanitation Responsibilities:
- Always keep the lab clean, safe, and organized.
- Maintain awareness of cleanliness in areas related to other departments.
- Keep all areas assigned to you on the sanitation schedule up to date and maintained.
- Execute special projects and other job-related activities as directed.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- 1-3 years related experience and/or training preferred.
